Wayne Henry has actively served on the Bear Valley Franklin County Pennsylvania Joint Authority Board from January 1975 through December 2024, and has held the position of Chairman of the Board for the last 18 years. For half a century, his dedication, leadership, and innovative thinking has helped to shape the fabric and future of Bear Valley Water Authority and the surrounding communities to which quality water service is provided. Mr. Henry played a pivotal role in the creation of a new $11 million water plant facility located in Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania. His leadership was instrumental in the purchase of a 233-acre farm for the purpose of drilling wells to enhance Bear Valley Water’s supply, which has resulted in a positive impact and doubled the water resource capacity. On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Sharon Purnell, PMAA Region 4 Director, presented Mr. Henry with the J.E. “Ted” Kuhn Service Award to recognize a golden milestone of 50 years … five decades of faithful and effective service. Mr. Henry’s legacy is a testament to his unwavering dedication, guidance, perseverance of excellence, and futuristic vision which will lead the Authority well into the future and is an inspiration to us all.
