municipalauthorities.org | 37 Future Looking forward, HSWA anticipates utilizing the most current technologies to track infrastructure and upgrade facilities at a rate to overcome depreciation and degradation of the system. We continue to look for new technologies to upgrade the system for longevity and reduced water loss. We will research and find ways to extend the life of components that make up the water and sewer systems. HSWA looks to utilize methods of trenchless technologies to replace pipes, identify materials with long lifespans, and utilize the most current technological devices to identify water loss. These items will be used to minimize impacts on services and ensure customers are supplied at all times, while keeping the rates as affordable as possible. HSWA’s main mission is to provide excellent quality water and sewer services for the customers and provide sustainability, while keeping the services at an affordable rate. We have been able to ensure this great service, thus far, with the hard work and determination of all of the employees involved and we are looking forward to what the future holds as we continue to operate and grow our system.
